Taking her seminal article "Rationcination and Revision or Clues in the Written Draft," published in English Journal in 1982, Carroll has added her usual thorough research from scholarship, experience, and from the work of Abydos trainers to produce this complete look at the strategy of ratiocination. Smith, Coker, and other voices add their adaptations while graduated students provide this legacy.

Distinctive for offering solid research and pedagogy in the teaching of grammar within the writing process, Ratiocination: Weaving the Threads of Grammar, Revision, and Editing is a MUST for all writers and teachers of writing.
